Lanzarote is a popular destination for a lot of european paraglider and hang-glider pilots, especially in the winter when flying in Northern Europe isn´t much fun. In Lanzarote, even in winter you can fly in a T-shirt, and if the weather isn't quite right to go flying, you can laze around in a bar or on the beach. Famara is arguably one of the best sites in Lanzarote to enjoy paragliding and hang gliding with the 2000 foot cliffs providing some excellent ridge soarding opportunities.
